Henderson North Primary School

Poem...

We had a library - very old
In a building damp and cold
For many years we planned and dreamed,
made our wish list, saved and schemed.
'Til finally the day came round
And the building went to clear the ground
So a new one could be built

Now it is time for us to shift
With willing hands to help us lift
Boxes and books to their new abode
-- But first we need somewhere for them to go.
So we applied to Waitakere Trust
Shelving for our books it was a must
And desks and chairs for the students

And what do you know that lovely band
Came to the party with generous hand
We have our shelves, our desks and chairs,
A server - to ease our computer geek's cares
And copiers - 2 - to help our kids.
With their fact finding, studying bids

So thank you people for helping our teachers
to help our children to better futures
Perhaps one day you might drop on by
To see what your funding allowed us to buy.
