If you play almost any kind of sport in West Auckland, The Trusts Stadium is for you.  Not only can you now play the sport in an internationally renowned, leading facility – you can see sporting heroes from all round the country and even the world play there.

Seating up to 5,000, with the flexibility to deliver different state-of-the-art ‘roll-out’ seating arrangements for everything from fashion shows, to a rock concert, to basketball, The Trusts Stadium has been supported by Waitakere and Portage Trusts.  A total of $6 million for building costs, naming rights and support of events has been donated.  You can be proud that The Trusts’ sponsorship was the backbone of the $28 million spent on the project. It meant that a much more substantial events centre could be built. Go West Auckland!

In its first six months alone, 100,000 (mainly West Aucklanders) came to visit.  You came to use anything and everything from –

• the main match floor (installed for $1 million) through to enormous function rooms
• informal corporate training rooms a huge climbing wall, 
• a 65 metre indoor sprint training track, 
• a heavy weight gymnasium, 
• a public gymnasium, 
• the yoga/pilates/aerobics exercise room, 
• the outdoor rugby fields, an international athletics track, 
• bars, catering facilities and even “Tots on Track” – the purpose built crèche for littlies. 

Visitors strolled around native landscaped walks just down from the fields, gave the kids time on a new children’s playground outside, or stopped to admire the headquarters for The Breakers (including players’ lounges and coaching rooms).

If you love dogs, you might have been there for New Zealand’s national dogshow which took its first step ever outside Porirua, to use the facility.  Or -

• Trash to Fashion, an art focused fashion spectacular, was staged there 
• as was Diwali, the Indian cultural festival. 

“The Trusts’ sponsorship plus TTCF has helped deliver a facility to West Auckland that central and East Auckland can only be amazed at,”  says Simon Wickham, CEO of The Trusts Stadium.  “We’ve created a focus.  An inspiration to kids and teams in the area.”
